There were several puppies in the last few days--Jasmin and 3 puppies plus 2 unrelated puppies and other 2 siblings were recently at the beach. Apparently Jasmin’s 3 puppies and one of the light brown siblings were taken from the beach and brought back all but one. There are only 6 puppies because one of Jasmin’s was taken. She's taking care of all of them.
Darlene disappeared since the explosion at the Gulf Plant several weeks ago—then , all the other Oil Plants were closed and guarded fearing sabotage—including the Shell Plant by the beach. Then I didn’t have access to the beach for several days. The last time I saw Darlene was the day before that explosion. When I finally came back I saw Dana (Darlene’s sister) and Danya (Dana’s daughter) but no sign of Darlene—they were always together, they are kind of wild. She was eating as usual the last time I saw her but I fear the worse since she had cancer.

THE LAST MOM--DAISY AND 3 OF HER PUPPIES ARE BEING SPONSORED BY WILL AND HIS NEIGHBOR. 2 OF THE PUPPIES WERE TAKEN BEFORE I COULD TAKE THEM TO THE VET. THERE'S ANOTHER PUPPY FROM ANOTHER MOM THAT DAISY WAS TAKING CARE OF. SO DAISY IS CURRENTLY AT THE VET WITH 3 OF HER PUPPIES PLUS THIS OTHER PUPPY.
THERE IS ANOTHER MOM WITH 3 PUPPIES AND ANOTHER UNRELATED PUPPY (A LITTLE OLDER BUT SMALLER IN SIZE) THAT NEED SPONSORS. I CALLED THE MOM JASMIN. THESE ARE PICTURES OF THEM.

A lot more has been going on... Several puppies has been rescued too.
There was an explosion last week at the Caribbean Petroleum Co. As a security measure all refineries were guarded by the police. The Shell plant is close to the beach so I wasn't allowed to enter during that time. The dogs were whithout food for several days and some of them moved to other places. Some are missing including Darlene who has cancer. Alison and Pete disappeared the week before. I was told that Animal Control went there a couple of weeks ago...
I'm not doing updates as frequently as before because my computer is dead. I'm using a computer at the school.

One more of the these 9 died of parvo. Apparently 2 of the Rottie-like puppies were the ones who died. The other 7 are ok. Five of them are in foster care right now--I think they are ready for adoption.
Of those I was fostering Katya amd Maia and I'm keeping them (pictures: Katya--brown and Maya--black and white).

I haven’t much time to update the blog lately but a lot has been going on. A thousands of people have been fired by the new government in the last few months and a result a lot of people are abandoning their pets (that’s not an excuse for being cruel, of course but…) and there are more pets wandering the streets than ever.
First of all, the 9 puppies were rescued by Maritza Rodriguez from All Sato Rescue, Will Divney and some friends. I have 2 of the puppies at home (I may keep them both) and the other 7 were taken to the vet for boarding. Unfortunately one of them died this weekend (I still don’t have the info on which one, but I was told it was one of the smaller ones).
Other 8 puppies were dumped immediately after the group of nine was rescued, including 2 one week old puppies—unable to feed by themselves. Fortunately for them Maritza is taking care of those 2. The other 6 remained at the beach for lack of foster homes, but someone took the only male, so there are 5 now.I have found Madison’s puppies, the dog that was abandoned last month--pregnant and with 2 older pups. I think there are 6 puppies of nearly a month old.

These are new dogs and there are many others from the last 2 weeks.
One of the new ones--a male with a clipped ear started a fight with Pete(a male Staffordshire)and poor Rocky was caught in the middle. Then the new dog attacked Rocky. I still have to checked on Rocky--I don't know how is he (he ran and hid).
A pregnant dog with 2 older pups (first pic) were abandoned last week and she gave birth a couple of days ago. I still don't know where the puppies are.

Sometimes I see many terrible things but I don't post all of them. But I this time I will mention 2 dogs that died recently hit by cars: Vicky (a chihuahua who died a couple of weeks ago) and Marianne (a yorkie who died today with her skull totallly crushed). Vicky has been at the beach for several months and Marianne was there a couple of weeks--she was abandoned with a male yorkie but he disappeared. Both of them were very shy and sweet.
